Jimmy K.
Owner and Mechanic at Automotive Interventions, LLC

I’ve been working with cars since I was a teenager, starting out in my dad’s shop doing restorations and working as a painter’s assistant color matching, sanding, buffing, and learning the ropes of bodywork. That early experience sparked a lifelong passion for the automotive world, and over the years I built up mechanical skills through hands-on work, mentorship, and formal education.

As a military spouse, I had the opportunity to work in auto shops and dealerships in Monterey, CA; Alexandria, VA; and Seattle, WA. During that time, I also studied Automotive Technology at Monterey Peninsula College and it helped deepen my knowledge of diagnostics, engine performance, and electrical systems.

As friends and family started reaching out more often for help with their cars, I began to notice that a lot of common issues could be fixed right where the car was without the need for a tow or a shop visit. That got me to thinking maybe there was room for a more flexible, approachable kind of repair service. Eventually, I decided to make it my full-time focus and turn it into a business of my own.

That’s how Automotive Interventions, LLC was born. The name is inspired by my spouse’s experience as a medic in the Army, where an “intervention” is a decisive action to preserve life, limb, or eyesight. I see automotive work the same way: a well-timed fix can keep someone moving, working, and living with less disruption.

My goal is to provide reliable, affordable, and convenient mobile auto repair services to people who need help where they are. I bring the tools, the experience, and the know-how to get you back on the road fast.
